Over 14 million tourists visited this stunning location in 2021. for few years running. In addition to its beautiful natural surroundings, the park also has a number of interesting historical sites, such as barns, churches, and cemeteries that have been carefully conserved. Parking, bathrooms, displays, and A/V rooms are often all located on the same floor in tourist centers. Many of the park's historic structures, as well as the roads leading to them, are best experienced from the comfort of a motor vehicle.
This 15,000-acre park on the southern border of Lake Michigan has sandy beaches, marshes, dunes, woods, rivers, and animals. Outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking are available in the park during the warmer months, while winter brings the opportunity to enjoy a variety of snow sports. The tourist center is handicapped-accessible, and assistive listening equipment are provided. Additionally, there are paths, a fishing pier, and a number of picnic sites and campers to enjoy. A fleet of beach wheelchairs with extra-large wheels is at your disposal this summer.
