I haven’t personally used Harvest Profit, but I did become interested after seeing a press release that the company had been acquired by John Deere. Reviews-wise, I’ve seen everything from “Harvest Profit is literally a game-changer” to “it’s okay, but not really worth the price.”

Pricing

There is a 14-day free trial.

After that, the pricing is $1,600 a year, which includes field-by-field profit analysis, auto-updating revenue with CBOT price data, contract/hedge tracking, marketing plan builder, year-over-year analysis and comparison, inventory management, and balance sheets. The membership also includes unlimited access to the educational course, which would otherwise cost $500.

Software

The web-based software is intended to be used in a browser, but there are also iOS and Android app versions.

The software is technically compatible with any type of crop since you can reportedly customize that area. But, direct feeds to futures prices are available for corn, soybeans, and certain wheats.

Free Resources

The Harvest Profit website does have a Free Resources section offering access to tools like a farm loan calculator, a grain storage ROI spreadsheet, and a flex rent scenario analysis tool. There's also a free weekly newsletter sent out via email.
