MERCOSUR, or “ The Common Market of the Southern Cone” was established in March of 1990 by the Treaty of Asuncion and was implemented to create a Common Agricultural trade export import market by its now four signatories ( Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia) Venezuela is no longer part of the BLOC and Bolivia has a rather divided influence in MERCOSUR’S role. It has succeeded its predecessor, LAFTA ( Latin American Free Trade Association) in both economic integration as well as unlimited agricultural capital funding and has evolved into a powerful international influence in trade, agriculture, finance, exports, imports, and tariffs with many allies of which desire and inherently depend on its scalability including the United Arab Emirates, The European Union and more recently The United States of America. Brazil and Argentina are the largest Member countries, in territory and population in South America and each have large as well as highly developed consumer markets. Argentina is rich in Natural Resources and has a robust Export Oriented Agricultural Sector... Its principal Agricultural products include Coffee, Soybeans, Wheat, Rice, Corn, Sugarcanes, Cocoa, Citrus, and Beef...

    Addicted to Chemicals

I have for the last three years been promoting a product that was developed by Mr. Bill Coats, the father of Aloe Vera products. It took over 50 years to make this happen. In these past three years, I have learned that despite the facts and test, most agricultural companies are not willing to try a product that is 100% organic... In Indonesia we are in some cases doubling rice yields, we are the only product to help with VSD and BPR in cocoa trees...

    Hello everyone
I am Joseph christian sartie and i am asierra leonean by nationality but presently studying in Ukraine.
I am the first child of my family and i am 24 years old.
With so much interest in agriculture and my wide and positive thinking that agriculture is a better way to enhance the survival of agriculture,i have decided to wholly embark on a large scale agriculture back in my country.
My dad who is still alive had gievn me his land that he inherited from his dad and the land is more or slightly less than 100 acres. It is situated in a cocoa and coffee rich region of sierra leone called Kailahun.
With too much lack of commodies in my country such as Onion, pepper and many other crops which is exported to sierra leone on daily bases,i have decided to cut down that export by making plans to embark on a large scale commercial farming with such crops and other ones.Since i am a student and i am not from a rich home,i am looking for any investor who is intrested in doing agricultural business in Africa.
I have all the connections for documents from the government ,so no worries about that and i amready to go down to Africa with any investor that is intrested so we can see things for ourselves.

GroAloe is not a phytosanitary product  but, when we treated infected Cocoa trees with Vascular Dieback Disease VSD and Black Pod Rot, we found that not only did the trees treated with GroAloe were able to fight off the disease but it also repelled the moth that spreads the bacteria to the trees.
The result were that trees treated with GroAloe showed signs of recovery in three days and in 22 days the trees began to produce flower buds and leafs.  These trees have not produced in 5 years or have had limited production, now they produce more than when they were healthy.
The chemical companies in involved in the initial Cocoa tree test walked away because they had little or no effect on the trees.

A year after treatment the Cocoa trees which produce two crop cycles are now continuously producing cocoa pods.  We however recommend at least a minimum of continuous treatment to guarantee effectiveness against the bacteria or fungus due to the fact that the vector insect causing the plague is still present.

GroAloe does not kill insects.  We think that natural properties in our product makes it undesirable for insects.  Because you do not spray GroAloe during the flowering cycle of the plant or tree due to flower loss, our product will not interfere with bee pollination.  Though we are still in the research process to understand how this is accomplished.

We truly believe that GroAloe will radically change farming as we know it, and improve the quality and quantity of crops.

If you have any questions regarding our product, I will be more than happy to send you information regarding our product and tests results.
Call for Applications: Innovation Grant for Catalysing Women-Women agribusinesses supply chains in Africa

The VALUE4HER project was designed among other activities to spur innovations within women-owned agri-businesses through a competitive grant scheme. This grant scheme is aimed at enabling women’s agribusinesses to try out new ideas, to take on the risk of new suppliers who would be women. In this regard, applications are invited from agribusinesses led by women, that would be interested to participate in innovative business linkages with small and micro level women agripreneurs and producers to facilitate women-to-women supply chains.

The call is also seeking applicants who would not only include women in their supply chains but demonstrate doing that in a sustainable way.

Application Deadline: 15 September 2019 at 00:00 (CET)

    Agroforestry and Biodiversity

Authors: Ranjith P. Udawatta, Lalith Rankoth and Shibu Jose

    Journal Title: Sustainability

    ISSN: 2071-1050 (Online)

    Publisher: MDPI AG

Declining biodiversity (BD) is aecting food security, agricultural sustainability, and environmental quality. Agroforestry (AF) is recognized as a possible partial solution for BD conservation and improvement. This manuscript uses published peer-reviewed manuscripts, reviews, meta-analysis, and federal and state agency documents to evaluate relationships between
AF and BD and how AF can be used to conserve BD. The review revealed that floral, faunal, and soil microbial diversity were significantly greater in AF as compared to monocropping, adjacent crop lands, and within crop alleys and some forests. Among the soil organisms, arbuscular mycorrhizae fungi (AMF), bacteria, and enzyme activities were significantly greater in AF than crop and livestock practices. Agroforestry also creates spatially concentrated high-density BD near trees due to favorable soil-plant-water-microclimate conditions. The greater BD was attributed to heterogeneous vegetation, organic carbon, microclimate, soil conditions, and spatial distribution of trees. Dierences in BD between AF and other management types diminished with time. Evenly distributed leaves, litter,
roots, dead/live biological material, and microclimate improve soil and microclimate in adjacent
crop and pasture areas as the system matures.
