Harpin Protein Plant Elicitor For Cannabis

    By Darren Chan

    Published Feb 4, 2020

Usually, Harpin Protein acted as a plant health promoter activates a plant’s immune system, which triggers growth and defence genes. When harpin protein contacts with plants’ receptors on their seeds, roots, and leaves, it will trigger an early warning system — “Systemic Acquired Resistance,” leading to increased plant yields and health. Target Crops: Economic crops such as cannabis, tobacco, Asparagus, avocado, mango, grape, citrus, blueberry, kiwi, apple, grape, plum, cherry, blueberry, avocado, nectarine etc. Mechanism of Harpin ProteinIt works by stimulating the plant to grow under the general effects of stress and one of those stresses is fungal attack. Why Hemp Isn’t Going to Save the US Farmer (But How It Could)

    By The Crossover

    Published Aug 16, 2019

In late 2018, a new farm bill was passed that legalized the production of hemp as an agricultural commodity while also removing it from the list of “controlled substances”... Hemp farming was going to not only save the modern row crop farmer but also make him wealthy in the process. Right? Not so fast…Let me preface this entire article by saying that I am not anti-hemp... I should also note that the opinion of this article is for the future of growing hemp... I’m skeptical of how hemp production is going to play out over the next few years...

Test results of 100% natural biostimulant results in organic farming breakthrough (AgroNews)

    By Christopher Keen

    Published Oct 29, 2019

When a retired farmer and organic farming consultant is motivated to put his boots back on and get back into the fields, you know something special is happening. That’s exactly how Daniel Rotberg felt when he studied the first GroAloe trial conducted on grapes with a major leafhopper infestation. The trial shows that, “The overall health of the Vineyard has completely transformed from weak and in some places, diseased plants, to a robust and healthy condition with many more grape shoots now forming. What is even more encouraging is that all of the new growth has not been bitten by any new or pre-existing leafhoppers... ” The results that GroAloe is showing on crops ranging from grapes grown in Canada, rice in Indonesia to Cannabis and Hemp in California and Oregon are remarkable...

Cover Crop Corner: Part 2 Cover Crop Economics: Long-term gains through holistic improvements

By Feed the Soil, Feed the World

    Published Oct 13

In part two of this two-part series on the economics of cover crops, we explore how a holistic approach to taking care of resources comes with long-term gains. By GO SEEDThere are no “quick fixes” when it comes to the health of soils, the benefits take more than overnight to show up. While it takes time and deliberate care to learn how to enhance resources holistically within your own system, the general principles are relatively simple and can be significant cost savings. “Soil is the natural capital of the land,” explains Dr Shannon Cappellazzi, GO Seed Director of Research. “By making the investment in soil health, not only are you making an impact on all of the downstream ecosystem services that are related to soil functions, you are also regenerating the land for continued agricultural production...

The full report and testimonial are forthcoming from the 200 plants that were infested by Root Aphids…
    Here’s the preliminary report:

The aphid test proved that although Aloe 420 (Variation of GroAloe for Hemp and Cannabis growers) does not kill them, we know for sure it deterred them and the grower feels that Aloe420 helped him have a very successful harvest from what looked like a disaster from the infestation. He harvested 800 lbs. from the 200 plants!!
Generally, one sees 2 lbs per plant or 2 lb per light depending on the type of grow. Anything above that is excellent.  #Hemp, #Cannabis
