    Farming is nothing if not but a series of decisions to be made, day after day, year after year. One thing that the best decision makers (across a wide variety of businesses and interests) tend to do is base their decisions on principles that stand the test of time and are true across a multitude of disciplines. These principles are called mental models. As a person accumulates them through years of learning and experience, they form a mental toolbox that the individual can access again and again when needing to make tough decisions... Will your investment in growing your farm outperform the stock market over the next ten years? What about if you had used that cash to buy real estate or timber? Just because there's an opportunity in an industry that you're familiar with doesn't mean it's the best opportunity...

A. in Colombia it extended its growth incorporating two other entities controlled by the Colombian Parent company to be domiciled in The United States of America, the first being Agriculture Services & Supply, Inc registered as a for profit corporation in Florida in November 1, 1994 and then its financing lending operation Agricultural Mortgage Company of America, LLC License Number ML0100663 incorporated in May 1rst of 2001. Agrilend let its Commercial Lending license to expire in August 31, of 2002 to assume more the business model utilized in Private Equity and not just restricted to the banking regulations of commercial lending... Cotton, Timber, Wood, Pulp, and Paper at approximately 3%...

    If you don't own your own acreage, it can be difficult to find places where you are welcomed to hunt and feel safe. Public land can feel like a free-for-all. My experience is speaking from PA and VA, and this year will expand to Ohio as I'm in the midst of moving up there. Likely, beyond the ethics debate about hunting, landowners that do not wish to grant access probably is a result from a negative interaction with a hunter, neglect to the property, damage to the property, or unauthorized trespassing... Don't cut marketable timber...
